As a kid, Kevin Kauffmann would spend most days creating worlds and adventures for action figures and old Transformers. After grabbing a degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, he decided that creating worlds should be more than a hobby.

The Icarus Trilogy was Kauffmann's first series as an independent author, but then he switched gears to tell the Forsaken Comedy, a dark fantasy trilogy about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. His latest, Ouroboros, has received high praise for its representation of hallucinogen use and self-destructive behaviors.

Daytrippers, the first in a psychedelic paranormal science fiction series following the events of Ouroboros, will be released in 2024 through 25&Y Publishing, as well as Evenin’ Flow, a short story collection. In addition, a reimagining of his serialized Rumpelstiltskin the Third stories is next in the queue, and Abnormality, the first novel in his superpowered saga, will be released shortly after that.

Hopefully, none of that gets in the way of his new job as the Narrative Director for Exfinitum, an upcoming phygital card game from Yoton Yo Studios. He is also a Beat Saber enthusiast, as evidenced by his YouTube channel, and plans to actively stream once he gets a better Virtual Reality setup. Currently, he lives in North Hollywood, California, where he will probably find even more projects to take up the rest of his time.
